Rate and Write a Review Strikingly minimalistic and sharply hip, this health-focused eatery in Logan Square nicely mixes up the menu with organic, multi-ethnic selections. From dawn to dusk diners may order from Lula Cafe's regular or daily specials menu. For breakfast, try the three egg frittata, brioche french toast or seasonal fresh fruit buttermilk pancakes. Lunch and dinner beckon with such choices as the roast turkey sandwich (with multigrain bread, avocado, chile aioli, lettuce, tomato, onion and sprouts), chilled peanut satay sesame noodles, or the tomato-basil-tamarind chicken salad sandwich. A sampling of the daily specials includes Jamison farm lamb steak with buttered Middle Eastern cous cous, dandelion greens with figs, pickled cucumbers, and harrisa-yogurt sauce; spaghetti with cavolo nero, heirloom garlic, basil, and pecorino; and sweet potato-plantain hash with black beans, poblano crema, pico de gallo, and scrambled eggs with chevre (for brunch). Mmmmm. Sounds good? We think so. The wine list complements the food wonderfully.
