In ShortChicago's fondness for the coach who delivered the Bears' only Super Bowl title extends to his namesake restaurant. Rich woods, leatherette booths and reverentially displayed sports memorabilia create a manly sporting-club setting. The pigskin menu features chops, steaks, salads, seafood and oyster shots with Tabasco vinaigrette. "Da Pork Chop" is a serving of that other white meat.

Food for everyone
By gjd on 08/08/2006
First time there in September 2005 for my birthday, took wife, daughter and granddaughters, excellent food for everyone, steak and pork chop awesome, cooked perfect, kids treated well and portions large. Second trip for brunch before playoff game, great bloody mary, omelet large, and again an awesome pork chop. A great place to eat

All I can say is I heard a ton singers in clubs since I travel alot I get to see them all over the country, and John Vincent is the best I ever heard, his Sinatra is dead on and his rendition of Elvis brought chills to my wife. Unreal.

Happy Birthday Dad
By curlygirl59 on 09/23/2004
My husband and I have eaten at ditka's in the past and love it. Sept. 9th was my dad's birthday. My husband and I were in Chicago on our boat. I called my dad to tell him happy birthday, and that I'd have a beer for him. He said "have a beer at Ditka's place." When we got there low and behold coach was there. I had my picture taken with him to prove to my dad I was really at ditkas for his birthday. After the pic, I went down to get him something from the gift area, and saw that there was pictures of the coach. I then returned upstairs to ask him to sign it. He was so kind again to sign the pic for my dad. Well, as you all can imagine, my dad had a GREAT birthday. Go Bears

Having the best Hamburger in the City and listening to John Vincent. You can't ask for a better night.
