Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare. Due to limited availability of this item, we suggest you reserve your order when making your reservation.

Highly overrated overall

After having dinner several times at the Capital Grille in Chicago, and reading AOL reports, I was tempted into taking my girlfriend to Morton's in the hopes of finding better steaks and side dishes. Both of us were highly disappointed. Our $39 and $34, respectively, filet mignons were both tough to cut and had a decent amount of fat in the cut. In addition, a standard meal (filet, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, 2 glasses of HOUSE wine each) ran $145 without tip. Instead of suffering at Morton's, do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds to bovine delight at the Capital Grille.

Just as expected

All my son who is in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Iraq wanted was to get the "Best Steak" in Chicago when he got home. I had tickets to the symphony that evening and afterwards we went to get that steak. Although the dinner crowd was thinning we were seated and the service was first rate. Portions were large and the steak was as good as I have ever had in a steak house. We wound up being the last customers in the house but were not rushed in any way. When my son went to the rest room the manager came over and asked if he was in the service. I told him he was just three days back from the Middle East. He suggested Mortons would "comp" my sons steak as "We need to thak care of our Marines. Needless to say, when I am out to get a great steak downtown, it will be at Mortons.
