Quartino, an urban Italian restaurant and wine bar, is the creation of Hugo Ralli, Steve Lombardo (owners of Gibson's Bar & Steakhouse, Hugo?s Frog Bar & Fish House, LUXBAR) and Exec Chef / Partner John Coletta. Quartino combines the best of Italy?s osteria and enoteca to offer an authentic everyday Italian food and wine experience. ?Where wine is cheaper than water? Throughout Europe, in bistro after osteria after enoteca, fresh local wines of high quality and unique characteristics are priced as a less expensive alternative to bottled water. Reservation requests for patio seating are not accepted. Patio seating is first come, first serve.

Be ready to WAIT 60-90 minutes
By steelweyco on 04/24/2006
Went there with a friend who has gone once before. The food was very good, tapas-style small servings meant to be shared. Very crowded & they pack them in so don't go if you're claustrophobic or don't like noise. ALSO, the EXTENSIVE WIAT to get our table, EVEN WITH A RESERVACTION, will keep me from returning. Happened to my friend on her first visit as well. We had reservations at 8pm, showed up at that time & were told "10 minutes". 40 mintues later were told again "10 more minutes". Ended up waiting about 75 and so did many others whom we heard complain. If they haven't gotten this worked out yet, then they don't intend to.

Great for couples
By susanshayes on 04/24/2006
The atmosphere at Quartino is very cramped and loud. I was with a group of 6 and I could not participate in the conversation across from me because of the noise. The menu was confusing for our party. We didn't know if you share everything that you order or just the appetizers and then have your own entree. (tapas Italian Style) The food was very good just couldn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked . The wine is served in a caraffe with little glasses(not wine glasses) I like a nice wine glass while dining. I think Quartino would be a great place for couples to go and share a few items but stay away from this restaurant if you are in a group. Having a conversation is difficult.
