Rate and Write a Review The cheese flames just as bright here. This is Greektown, so they do share some of same, traditional menu items with their flashier neighbors. The thing about Rodity's is that every aspect of the dining experience -- food, dcor, service is about comfort. From the unpretentious and hearty dishes to the free valet parking, the simple pleasure of eating is about the only thing in vogue. The food is definitely the star in this picture and a healthy wine list adds a solid supporting role. There is a bar, but, with its lone television and tiny congregation of stools, it is more of a waiting area than a trend incubator. This isn't the place you bring a first date. The wood-carved, Greek-themed wall murals and the simple, yet bilingual, laminated menu won't woo, but that's the whole point. This is the place you come when you're done with the awkward, introductory rituals. This is where friends and families get together to celebrate the everyday. With a crowded 'specials' page, this is where nearby office workers, laborers and locals eat lunch. As you might expect, the dress is casual and in keeping with the theme, the prices are comfortable for your wallet. - Fletcher James
