I have eaten here several times but never had the lemon pepper chicken. My server suggested I try the chicken with hash browns and cream spinach. What a mouth watering experience.

this was a very expensive dinning exp. i look for little things like some one pulling out the chair for my wife when we are seated. the waitress did a very good job that is why she recevied the tip she did. when I go out to dinner the quality of food should better than i can cook it was not. I do not consider myself a great cook but we spent 198.00 on dinner, for that kind of money there is very high expectations. bar drinks where high and tasted terrible! we had steaks lobster tails and scallops! QUALITY should be number one the steak that i was seved was less than satisfactory

Was just posting a review on another Chicago steak place that I was at recently, when I realized I should place one for the place I really liked. S&W is fantastic. Great service...great views of the river...not overly snobbish....if you run into the head chef, Hans,....introduce yourself....he is an accented pleasure to chat with....and a big Cubs fan !! Great aged steaks......I love the bone-in ribeye....or will happily chow on the Filet (ask for the 'off the menu' size....I am guessing it was about 24oz !) unbelievably good !! The mashed potatoes are SO light and fluffy....yum !!! I know they are known as a NY steak house, but even I will give dues to that wicked city for establishing such a gem.

While S&W's signature steaks and chops are outstanding (thanks, Chef Hans!).....the Dover Sole is, without doubt, the best I've ever eaten!! Can't say that about some of Chicago's well known fish houses.......
