Rate and Write a Review The homemade salsa alone should motivate you to make a trip out to the near West Side to visit this decades-old establishment. If you believe man can't survive on bottomless chips and standout salsa alone, don't worry; you have options. You're sure to feel stuffed after eating one of Tecalitlan's huge burritos (definitely a two-hander) or sizzling fajitas. The menu also contains tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, chiles rellenos, flautas or heuvos rancheros to select from, all reasonably priced. The dining room features Spanish decor and a mural on the ceiling depicts the sky during the course of the day, from bright sun in the morning to glowing stars at night. Despite its long run, the correct pronunciation of the restaurant's name is still a raging debate among even the most loyal of customers. If you ask a member of the staff they may say it so fast you have no hope of ever repeating it.
