The large, brightly lit dining room with green-and-white checkerboard tableclothed tables gives way to an open kitchen where diners can see meals being prepared. Shelves adorned with tomato cans, boxes of dried pasta and hanging copper pans give the room a homey feel, while one wall is dedicated to an Italian street scene mural. Chef Vitorio Moreno aims for an authentic Northern Italian menu. Pasta fagiole soup is nicely balanced with a bountiful helping of vegetables and beans. Wood-grilled pizzas have a satisfying crunch. The pear and parmesan ravioli in a pine nut and mascarpone cheese sauce is one of many cream-heavy pasta dishes.

By wildmonster on 01/04/2007
I got sick after eating at Tuscany's on Taylor. I used to eat there all the time but, no more. The salad was warm, the food was cold. I think I got a dose of tomaine.

A' Salute

The food, service, accomodations and overall experience from making the reservation to paying the bill.... BRAVO! When I go to Tuscany's, I look for the best and I find it. Each Tuscany has it's own flavor and balance, all of which have only invited me back for more. Perhaps, anyone who might be letdown, only forgot to ask for what they wanted. But, I'm Italian...so what do I know?...."A LOT" Molly Reda
