The oldiest and best resturant in Chinatown The owner Dsvid is a great historian of the block and the history. The salt and pepper shimp are to die for...the best egg foo young in town. It dates back to the 1920's when it was probably the closest chinese establishment without leaving the country...and you don't have to spend alot for airfare.

best dim sum in town. but the best chinease food is at the small resturant named three's happieness not the large one but the small one across the street. i realy should not but this out there as it may get harder to get in but the resturant deserves the praise.

Mamma Mia, that's Chinese!

One of the larger, and older establishments, Won Kow continues to impress w/ its predominant Shanghai Cantonese menu. If you are interested in trying things not available at your local take-out, or want to see how THOSE dishes should be prepared, this is the kind of place you should get to, at least once. On the other hand, ecologically minded folks may have a problem with shark-fin soup knowing how the animal is decimated for minor body parts for this kind of dish. For Cantonese style I still enjoy "War" preparation style and use this place as one of the city's benchmarks.
