hogtrash's Review
haven't been there for awhile, but I use to live around the corner on Marburg ave. When I did go in there I was given a very cold shoulder. It was walking distance to home and just wanted a few beers here and there and shoot the sh**. Not a friendly clientele in there. That's okay since I don't want people bothering me for the most part. just didn't get a good time feel for the joint. Don't remember anyone saying anything that made me chuckle. Okay place to get a beer or two with noone bothering you at all. I go to different bars when I have the urge to have fun.
Cappie's Review
Like any neighborhood pub, Hap's has its regulars, who are valued clientele and who act like they own the place. Don't be surprised if, as a visitor, you don't feel like part of the family. However, for big rugby and soccer (and sometimes Gaelic football) events, and for St Patrick's Day of course, Hap's is definitely the place to be.

Really enjoy the place.Met some Europeans(not just Irish) this weekend for some international rugby matches. Had a great time. Made me feel very welcome. The pints were great! The atmosphere was great.
American Idolism
Hap's is THE true Irish Pub in Cincinnati. I GUESS IT KEEPS GETTING CITY'S BEST AWARDS IN NEARLY EVERY CONTEST BECAUSE OF WHAT? A GOOD PR PERSON? THEY GET THEM BECAUSE IT IS REAL. Lighten up folks. Apparently, these negative people (takes a really uptight person to rate a place a Zero) prefer cookie cutter 2.5 million dollar build-out chains with an ever changing staff. Guess what? You have to FREQUENT a neighborhood pub before you're "let in the club" of being a regular. OBVIOUSLY, HAP'S IS GREAT FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE.
