When a beautiful river view and tangy pork ribs seem to be the order of the day, there's no better place to go for both than the Montgomery Inn Boathouse. After all, about 800,000 folks dine here every year, and the restaurant is the top independent ribs restaurant in the country. Definitely on the must-do list of out-of-town guests and Cincy returnees, the restaurant also sports long waits and busy servers, so be prepared. Ted Gregory and his wife Matula started the restaurant at a location in Montgomery in the 1950s, garnering rave reviews for their ribs. Bob Hope, Tom Selleck, several presidents, Johnny Bench and Elizabeth Taylor have all admitted an affection for Gregory's best. But if ribs aren't your thing, try the pork chops -- some of the best around. And don't forget the Saratoga chips -- crispy, lightly seasoned potato chips unlike any you'll ever find in a store.
