Gather 'round the Pot for a unique dining -- and cooking -- experience, because The Melting Pot has carved out an unusual niche: Guests cook their own dinner right at the table in tiny hot pots of boiling oil or flavored broth. Choose from chicken, beef or seafood, or order up a sampler that includes a bit of everything. Then, skewer your meat, dip it into the hot pot and wait. Entrees also include salads and side dishes, plus a cheesy fondue great for dipping bread and veggies. The atmosphere is dark and intimate, creating a perfect date spot, although you'll also see families with kids enjoying the experience as well. Take some time to enjoy the evening; the experience here lasts a bit longer than a usual dinner at an upscale place. Finish off your meal with a dark chocolate fondue and fresh strawberries. Who can resist?

Fun Family Celebration
By backswm on 02/29/2000
The Melting pot is a Fondue restaurant that has a good selection of different entrees. One entree can have three to 7 different types of meat that can be cooked in a boulion or fried in oil, which ever pleases you at the time. My personal recommendation is the meal for two which includes a salad for each person, a cheese fondue appetizer, an entree and a choice of dessert or no dessert. The Melting Pot is definitely a classy place! The ambiance is quiet and romantic for special dates, but still family friendly for those special occations when it is only appropriate to celebrate with fun and class. The Melting Pot is on the higher end of the pricing scale, a meal for two including a salad, cheese fondue, and an entree is between $45 and $55. The meal takes about 2 hours to complete, and with the friendly service, excellent food and the fun and entertainment of cooking your own food at the table, the price is worth every penny. My family goes to the Melting Pot to celebrate special occations and we always have a wonderful time and never leave hungry. I usually go out about once every other week or so and as long as the food is good and the service is friendly I am not picky about the amount I pay for a good meal.
