Travel back in time a couple of decades -- before the influx of chain restaurants -- and ask a native Cincinnatian to list the city's finest seafood restaurant. Fast forward to present day, and the name Mike Fink will still pop up. After all, the place has become synonymous with fresh seafood, excellent service and a one-of-a-kind view of the city's skyline. This signature Cincinnati restaurant is aboard a steam wheeler, parked on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River -- the perfect spot to see that skyline. Folks cross a gangplank to enter, and are escorted to a dining room with windows that open to the river and the city beyond. Here, folks dine on one of the city's best-known raw bars, stocked with fresh prawns, crabs legs and oysters. Entrees include simple, classic selections like grilled halibut and king crab legs. Unobtrusive service, consistent quality and signature Cincinnati style make Mike Fink a dining classic.

Are you serious????

Visited this during Tall Stacks. You would think that during Tall Stack they would have their "A" game up in full effect. It was honsestly one of the worst dinners I have had for the price. I have heard so much about Mike Fink's since we moved here 3 years ago. For the price, it was aweful. For the price, I will take Mitchell's, Bonefish or even The Fishhouse over Mike Fink's anyday.

Overpriced and Overrated
By scotlepage1960 on 04/06/2005
There is nothing good about this place other than the view and the cozy bar. The food is overpriced, the portions are small, and the seafood simply is not fresh. The one GOOD meal they used to offer, the table-side fettucini with fresh seafood in it (lunch..it WAS reasonably priced) is no longer offered. Bonefish has MUCH better seafood...even though I usually am not partial to chains.

Could be a 5-star
By kytess611 on 02/21/2005
We have been going to this place for years and have always loved it. The food is 5 stars. But...the last few years they have let some first-rate employees go. And they don't serve the wonderful warm salted rye rolls anymore. Everyone loved them. They said they were too expensive...hmmm. Could be a 5 star again.
