At Pomodori's, they say that once you go with wood-fired pizza, you won't go back. Cooked quickly at 800 degrees Fahrenheit and having crust infused with honey and garlic, this pie is a treat for the taste buds. The unique lineup includes roma and basil, goat cheese and shrimp, and asparagus in addition to the usual pizza possibilities. Go upscale and pair your meal with wine -- Pomodori's offers eight reds and eight whites -- or you can opt for 22-ounce draft beers. For a nice seat, ask for the window-paneled sun room, which overhangs and looks out onto lovely trees in the quaint village of Montgomery. On top of the pizza, there are a dozen pasta dishes (chicken parm, linguine, carbonara), sandwiches, salads and appetizers. And you would be remiss to not top it all off with the sweet stuff. The homemade sorbet-esque gelato ice cream is popular, as is the award-winning apple pizza, with a touch of apricot preserves, streusel topping and ricotta cheese. A sweet Italian finish.
