There's no doubt about it: The Precinct is Cincinnati's top spot for steaks. Restaurateur Jeff Ruby's signature steaks were first developed at this restaurant and now set the standard for fine, hand-cut beef throughout the city. The Precinct is set in a former police precinct (surprise, surprise) in East Cincinnati's Columbia-Tusculum district. Inside, tables covered with white linen are packed together tightly, although a few intimate corner tables are available. As at the other restaurants Ruby runs, the Precinct offers huge portions, exceptional service and a hefty price tag. Consistently selected as Cincinnati's best place for steak, this is the place for someone with a big appetite and even bigger credit-card limit.

Best Ever!!!
Went twice in one week. Once with 3, once with 6. Both times we were treated like family!! Even the Exec Chef , came up to our table and greeted us. The service was 5 star!!!! The steaks make us think to this day, about driving the 6 hours from St. Louis to get one!!! Don't miss if you are in town, and want Top Notch Food, and Service!!!

The food is excellent, service is excellent, pete the bartender is awesome. And even the valet staff is awesome, I never knew it was a seperate companyuntil i seen the sign with a website. www.tristatevalet.net. Those guys are the greatest. Thanks Tony for always making our night great.

Dirt as stated in 2/28/07
It is a pig pen. Dirty glassware, mirrors, johns carpet, etc.
The parking garages downtown are cleaner.
SUPERB, DELICIOUS DINING! wow!
Our family of 6, including our 7 year old, had the most wonderful meal that was delectable and delicious at the Precinct.
We were treated with gracious hospitality upon arrival and it continued throughout our entire dining experience. The steaks ordered were a variety of what was on the menu and each and everyone of them was a melt in your mouth explosion of savory flavor. So tender and cooked to perfection.
The dining room atmosphere was filled with the electrifying energy of very happy customers. Laughter and gaity resounded in the air! We were very pleased and enjoyed the entire dining experience. Our seven year old devoured almost a full veal that was tender and juicy and had her begging us to cut more. It sliced like butter and she filled her tummy with it's yumminess! (this was the chef's recommendation and he was oh so right!).
Our entire family was very appreciative of the "perfect ten" service and the more than kind and friendly staff! Very incredible dining experience and we are grateful to those on the staff who worked that evening for your more than "perfect ten" hospitality! 1/13/07 Thank you so much for doing well what so many restaurants fail at. In the last year I personally have eaten at some very fine restaurants in New York, New York, and Kennebunkport, Maine and left disappointed and disenchanted, the stuffy service and food in New York and the food in Maine. This was an incredible, well rounded dining experience nestled in a beautiful Historic Building with savory food and wonderful atmosphere! The staff was TREMENDOUS!
We drove for 3 1/2 hours to dine at the Precinct and will again!
