Rate and Write a Review Cincinnati is perhaps the best city in the world for chili, and Skyline is perhaps the best chili joint in Cincinnati. Simple logic, then, would suggest that Skyline's product is pretty darn good. In 1949, a young man from Kastoria, Greece, named Nicholas Lambrinides opened the first Skyline Chili restaurant, introducing Cincinnati to his unique version of the dish. The cinnamon-and-chocolate-spiced chili is robust and slightly sweet, served on spaghetti and covered in cheese. Locals know to order up a three-way (chili, spaghetti and cheese), four-way (same plus red onions or beans) or a five-way (same plus both red onions and beans) -- or to opt for carryout. You can also get your chili fix in the form of a piled-high Skyline cheese coney hot dog. If you're not up for chili, try the cheddar potato, Skyline burrito or Greek salad. Family-friendly and delicious, Skyline is local institution and a rite of passage for all Cincinnatians.
