Herb's Tavern   

Never had a bite of an Herb's Burger? And you call yourself a Clevelander? Okay, so maybe it isn't an official prerequisite for citizenship, but order yourself one of the thick, juicy burgers on the menu here at Herb's Tavern and you may find your appreciation for the local landscape becoming heftier and heftier. A third of a pound heftier, to be exact. The famous Herb's Burger is a big ole mound of mushrooms, grilled onions and some of the tastiest sirloin this side of the Mississippi. Established in 1963 by Herb and Bobbie Brugh, this Rocky River tavern has earned itself a place in the hearts (and stomachs) of Cleveland's burger-and-beer lovers -- a demographic which includes just about everyone in town. The dine-in-or-carryout menu also includes sandwiches, seafood specialties, soups and a variation on a classic in Herb's Pizza Burger, which adds to the mix green peppers, pepperoni, mozzarella and tomato sauce.
