Abuzz with the sounds of the 1940s, Hixson's has a charm all its own. Buried beneath an exhaustive array of collectibles and antiques, the store carries many unusual surprises. Purchase practical items such as coffee mugs, neckties, candles, candleholders, greeting cards and Browns' and Indians' checker sets. Browse the store's large glass counters, containing an eclectic assortment of jewelry, both new and old. Hixson's also carries a fabulous array of beautiful oriental china plates, wooden boxes, dolls and an ornate Japanese pagoda. Many of the toys, dolls and stuffed animals are collectibles. Your children will enjoy selecting goodies from the old-fashioned candy jars and during the summer, they'll be dragging you to the store's ice cream parlor. Even if you don't buy anything, you'll enjoy the scenery.
