Come with an open mind to Shuhei, considered in some circles to be Northeast Ohio's best Japanese eatery. Be prepared to drop the fork and grab the chopsticks. This is a far cry from a typical hibachi-style place, and makes a stern departure from what you might expect at an Oriental restaurant. The offerings here are of true Japanese cuisine, not the more-Americanized versions found in mall food courts and dime-a-dozen chain establishments. It's easy to miss the elegant eatery among the mini-high rises, strip malls, busy intersections and congestion. Shuhei features a quartet of sushi chefs who prepare the Japanese delicacy in a variety of ways. Try the tuna. If you haven't had it at a legit Japanese eatery, you haven't had it. -- Todd Stumpf
