The mother of Central Ohio sports bars, established long before the era of the big-screen TV. You know you're in Buckeye country before you walk through the door. Not only is the exterior scarlet and gray, but the menus, decorations and even the jukebox celebrate Ohio State sports. Thinking about coming here before the big game? Arrive several hours early and you might get a seat; a lower level also helps to accommodate the overflowing crowds. Otherwise, you'll be out of luck. Generally on Fridays, there's live music, so expect a big party. Off-season, it's less crowded, although diners can still watch the game of the week on one of the many TVs. Sit down at the bar or the spotless, polished wood tables and dig into a full menu that includes burgers, pizza, spaghetti, chicken Parmesan, subs, salads, sandwiches, and more. Those wanting to blend in should wear OSU colors and never, never admit to any affiliation with that "other" state school to the north.
