Rock-band Incubus christened the stage of the PromoWest Pavilion in October of 2001. A steady stream of popular musical acts has flowed into the arena since, with headliners booked at least once or twice a week. Thanks to the venue's versatility (it can accommodate anywhere from 500 to 5,000 people comfortably) it draws a number of singer-songwriters and specialty performers who normally shy away from arenas. The no-nonsense brick-and-black exterior resembles a warehouse, but the pavilion's light and sound capabilities are the best in town, with the possible exception of gigantic Nationwide Arena. -- Lena Katz
