Skin is in, and it's everywhere at Sugar Bar. From the sexy videos on the plasma TVs to the cocktail waitresses' skimpy silk bustiers, garter belts and fishnet stockings, hormones rage at this sleek Short North lounge. The sister spot to the wildly popular and neighboring Spice Bar, Sugar and Spice swap partygoers like swingers. The young and beautiful dress to be noticed and are here to see and be seen: lounging on the chocolate suede couches, sipping colorful martinis or shaking their groove thang on the dance floor. The ceilings are high and the place is huge -- three rooms and four bars -- but grab a coveted seat on the balcony (you can get there through the unmarked staircase by the kitchen) for a bird's-eye view of the crowd, DJ and stage. Only the truly important can land a seat in the Russian fur-themed VIP room, complete with waitresses decked out in furry white go-go boots and the requisite skintight white silk costume. More bar than restaurant, Sugar Bar offers hungry clubbers an eclectic array of above-average bar munchies, including scallops with a mango-jalapeno cream sauce and smoked salmon bruschetta. A generous happy hour offers half-price drinks and food from 7-9PM nightly. Now that's sweet.
