Looking to rub shoulders with your local FBI agent or city prosecutor? Tommy Keegan is your man. Proximity to the courthouse and several Federal buildings make this brewery district drinkery a draw for the law. (Escaped convicts and hustlers, take note). The happy hour, with its long hours and cheap drinks, is another lure, as are the full menu and separate room with pool tables and billiards. The dark wood interior, with its well-spaced, high-topped tables and chairs make it ideal for wheeling and dealing, and if you want to be overheard, there's always a stool at the bar. Menu items are also inexpensive, consisting of the popular Keenan's burger, along with other sandwiches, finger foods, and a few salads. So law-and-order types and wannabes can have a full evening's entertainment for a sawbuck or maybe a bit more. Add that to excellent surveillance opportunities (read: people watching), especially if you sit on the patio.

Best Pub In Town
By fuzbuz100 on 07/16/2007
The editor's review couldn't get a more inaccurate read on this place: Keegens is the most authentic soccer pub in Columbus. Keegens shows soccer only, so if you're looking for the Buckeyes or Bluejackets don't come here. It's rustic brick interior is adorned with memorabilia from the likes of Liverpool, Ajex and AC Milan; anyone who is passionate about the beautiful game should feel at home. The menu is standard (and good) pub fare (fish and chips, burgers, pizza) all under $9. Good importated beers on tap, and a killer happy hour also add the alure. For those not keen on the pub vibe there is a popular covered patio outside. Come for the soccer- stay for the atmosphere- Keegens rocks.
