AUTHENTIC CHICAGO
This place is great, I have spoken to the owner on several occations and he is FROM CHICAGO. No ones knows a hot dog better than a authentic form chi-town resident.

very ggod food for the type of eatery it is.i thought the chili dogs, onion rings, italian beef sandwich and the chocolate cake were very good. i was not real crazy about the original hot dog with all the toppings, but that is probably because i'm not used to eating them that way. maybe you have to be from chicago? the restaurant itself was absolutely spotless i was very impressed. can't wait to go back!!!

For someone who thought a hot dog was a hot dog, BOY was I wrong! This place PROVED to me that there is a HUGE difference in the hot dogs that are out there. Excellent food, friendly service..price is a little high, but it is worth it for a special treat! Highly recommend that you check out. We are regulars and will often make a special trip from our home in Gahanna just to get their food. Well worth it!

We go there fairly often. The owner is usually at the cash register and is a nice guy. It's not fancy-schmancy - it's hot dogs and burgers; both of which are good. Pass on the 'Chicago style' tamales - too doughy and not spicy. You can't find a good tamale in Columbus anyway... but I digress. Wholly Joe's is an excellent alternative to the usual chain outlets when you just want a simple fast food meal. I'm giving it 4 stars but note that's *in it's genre* - don't go there expecting white table cloths and gourmet food.
