Housed in a building that's more than a century old, the Olive Branch serves Continental cuisine (with an emphasis on French) in a casual, fine- dining atmosphere. Their fare includes Mediterranean cuisine and some (but very little) Italian food, as well as seafood, pastas, meat dishes, salads and vegetarian entrees. Reservations are accepted -- suggested, in fact -- especially for weekend dining. Of special note is the bar upstairs, to which many Olive Branch customers journey after their meal. The Loft (www.theloftlive.com) hosts live original music and comedy, as well as a monthly jazz night and a monthly swing night, complete with a 17-piece swing band. Meals usually range in price from $15- $28, but they have been known to change frequently.
