My Mama's favorite restaurant
By lgialouris on 02/22/2007
Growing up - we always ate at the Torch on special occasions. It was my Mama's favorite restaurant. Today, it's not just for special occasions. I love the dim lighting and the fact that you can carry on a conversation without screaming. The food is always good and the service is first class.

Great steaks!
By tristasage on 02/20/2007
This is a great place to eat. They have wonderful steaks and excellent shrimp. My husband and I usually only go for special occasions. Even though I like my steak well, Telly always cooks it just right and it is always tender. The croutons and cheese that they serve are a meal in itself. The fried shrimp is very good and if you go on the all you can eat shrimp evening you'll need to be wheeled out from eating it all! It's a quiet place and most of the patrons are devotees, so if you are looking for a lot of ambiance and noise you should go somewhere else.

Greek Classic

Established over 40 years ago, the Torch is one of the only places that serves Angus beef that is flame broiled . Service could be faster, but everything you order is fresh

My favorite restaurant in CC
By lynrenfrow on 01/20/2007
My parents, and aunt and uncle went there for years when Harry Porter owned the restaurant. I have been going for years.......I love the low lit, quiet ambiance. The space is very relaxing. I have never, in years of dining at the Torch, had a bad meal or a bad experience. The restaurant has been revamped and rearranged over the last few years, but still remains the quiet, relaxing place that it always has been. The way things come and go in this town, I am so very glad that the Torch remains.
