Conveniently located on Greenville Avenue, just north of Park Lane, Back Country Bar-B-Q is unusual among Texas barbecue restaurants because the pork ribs are just as good as the beef brisket. Open for lunch and dinner, Back Country offers a surprisingly varied menu including dinner plates with two vegetables and that infamous Texas toast, chicken and turkey salads, and everything from hot link sandwiches to hot dogs. Meat, vegetables and even the chili can be purchased by the serving or in family sizes. Catering and private dining rooms are available for parties and the take out selections are as diverse as the regular menu.
