For a Japanese restaurant, Blue Fish is unusually loud -- in decor and often in volume. Every person at every table is pretty, trendy and immaculately dressed (the waitstaff is pretty cute, too), and the whole joint has a decidedly Los Angeles flavor to it. Whether you like that kind of scene or not, fans of Japanese food have have a hard time resisting this perennial hot spot. Along with perfectly turned out sushi and sashimi basics, Blue Fish serves up an assortment of funky, unusual rolls, wonderful yakatori and other Pan-Asian offerings. Select from an extensive sake list, printed up wine-list style, or order up a classic cocktail. Either way, you run the risk of singing loud and boisterous songs by the time the night is over. Not that such a thing ever really happens at Blue Fish -- those people are way too cool to get snookered. -- Bryan Lindsey

To Die For Rolls
By ALee 007 on 09/14/2008
I have been going to The Blue Fish since it opened many many years ago. They are simply the best in Dallas and in Texas for that matter. I have been to many other sushi restaurant in Dallas area and no one even comes close to this well established eatery. Fresh fish all the time, that is pretty obvious because they do the most volume in the metroplex area. There is no time for fish to be sitting around at these restaurants. They are busy and good. Fresh fish, nice sauce, excellent rolls. A must try. Definitely two thumbs up!!!!

awful
By Lindabarnes01 on 07/25/2008
I went to the Frankford location for lunch; so disappointed! The waitstaff was arrogant and surly and the sushi tasted like I'd picked it up from a grocery store...old and stale. I'd heard such wonderful things and I won't go back.

Ahi Tower -- a MUST try
By Llebl15 on 06/13/2008
My husband and I have been to tons of Sushi Restaurants in the Dallas area and we always go back to Blue Fish on Greenville. It has the best food and the freshest sushi of anywhere by far. It's a very comfortable friendly atmosphere and we've never had one bad server. It's also very affordable. Our favorite dishes are the Ahi tower for an appetizer, rainbow roll, and volcano roll. Their tuna is also fabulous so any roll with the tuna is great.
