People who come to Texas for the first time might be a little disappointed. There are a lot of expectations about cowboy hats and boots, people yelling "yee-haw" and every other word being "y'all." Throughout most of Dallas, things just aren't like that. The Boar's Nest, on the other hand, will fulfill any Texan expectations that people might have. This dimly-lit little bar, grill and live music venue hosts hundreds of cowboy-boot-and-hat-wearing people every week. The Boar's Nest also hosts plenty of local and national country bands. Everyone at this Texas- style stereotype seems to be having a good time when the bands come on, and you might even hear a few of those unmistakable yee-haws if you listen closely. The crowd ranges in age form young to old, and everybody seems to have a blast drinking from the beer-centric bar and eating genuine greasy food from the grill. -- Bryan Lindsey
