Courtyard-Dallas Market Ctr   

The Courtyard Cafe restaurant was great in 2000 but has declined greatly in 2001 and is now terrible in 2002. I will give them this.. they make great french fries but that is about it. The menu was once diverse and numerous and now the few selections they do offer, they can't seem to get right. They need to hire a new chef here.

The staff is very friendly at the check in desk and even though I had a slight problem (my bed clothes got taken away to laundry with the sheets) I was able to get them back before I left.

If you want to get a cocktail in the lounge area, you will pay royal.. I was shocked to be charged $6.50 for a White Russian.. to me.. a mixed drink should be $5.00 tops.

The reason I stay at this hotel is because of my boss.. he likes to be able to open windows. Do yourself a favor.. if you get a room and it doesn't face the 'courtyard-pool area' get it changed. The noise of the traffic on the highway kept me up the first two nights.. the second two I was so dead from the trade show it didn't matter.

The whirlpool was great and relaxing but was just not hot enough for me. Unfortunately there is no way for anyone in the room to make it hotter.

In 2000 I told them about my unhappiness with the shower curtain that pulls in during use. This to date is still the same and has not been corrected. I would think that curtains with magnets on the bottom would resolve this issue but no action has been taken. If you let it hang out of the tub, the situation is fixed and the water gets all over the bathroom floor.

This hotel has 24 coffee and tea downstairs which I love. They give you a machine in your room but I must have real milk to put in my hot beverages.

Every year I change my clothing in their downstairs rest room by the Cafe before I leave town and I must say it is impeccably clean.
