If you want to stick around and be a player on Lower Greenville, you need to do something to set yourself apart from the crowded list of dance clubs and bars. Stylish Eight Lounge has attained a distinctive vibe on several fronts. A brilliant waterfall that runs down a see-through glass window at the front entrance is the first thing you see inside the front door. On the spacious dance floor surrounded by flat-screen plasma TVs, a maelstrom of sultry singles turn up the heat while others take to some traditional cavorting at the lavish, expansive glass bar. Smaller groups seek the comfort and privacy of the individual booths that are separated by earth-toned satin sheer curtains. A rotation of featured DJs spins everything from jungle beats to hip-hop. In-the-know aristocrats will call ahead and reserve a plush, ultra-private VIP area.
