GreenZ is a fast-casual, chlorophyll-phile's paradise, a salad connoisseur's dream. Whether you're strictly herbivorous or an unabashed meat-eating testosterone machine, GreenZ offers a balanced menu of salads for the "veggie lover" and for the "more carnivorous." Each category contains several creative combinations of vegetables, cheeses, fruits, tofu, legumes, nuts and other ingredients. The meat eaters' menu adds grilled chicken, shrimp, tuna and pork as options upon which to build a hearty salad. Examples include a Classic GreenZ, composed of fresh baby spinach, roasted portobello mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, red onions, chopped egg and bacon and an herb vinaigrette, and a BBQ Texas Slaw, made with green and red cabbage, carrots, red onions, sliced barbecued pork and spicy vinaigrette. As the restaurant's slogan, "Salads for Z'Adventurous," indicates, some ingredients are not standard fare at most Texas dinner tables. Exotic additions range from arugula, a crisp, extra-spicy lettuce, to wasabi, a stout Japanese horseradish that adds zing to any "zalad." Other menu items include creamy asparagus, Ancho Tortilla and pesto soups, soft drinks, tea, bottle water, domestic and imported beers and a modest wine list.
