As a college student at times you wish for a day of pampering. Italian cuisine was a favorite and tangible way to do just that. As I recall, it was a beautiful sunny day. I had saved enough money to treat myself for a late lunch. I didn't expect to get in for I looked nice, but I have dined at fabulous restaurants from around and know their expectations. Nice will not cut it. The host turned to whom I believed was the owner, who nodded an approval, and sat me. I believe the owner knew what I had longed for, slightly waived his requirements, and treated me as if I was an Italian heiress. I have never forgotten that. Several years have passed and I now reside in Florida. My brother, who wishes for a special place to dine his special lady, asked me for a reference. All I could think of was the special time I had at Ristorante la Piazza.

As new Italian Restaurant owners in Ft. Worth, we would like to make a small comment about La Piazza and Vito. As many others have noted, I am unable to comment on the food, service or atmosphere because I was not allowed to enter. My executive chef and I attempted to visit La Piazza on the reccommendation of several of our regular guests that also frequent La Piazza. Vito met us at the door and explained that we were not dressed properly. I admit that we did not have coats and ties, but we did wear slacks and casual collared shirts. I would like to extend an invitation to all of those who have been offended or simply disregarded by Vito to come experience a truly guest focused Italian Restaurant. Bellagio Italian Bistro located at 4608 Bryant Irvin Rd. Come in and ask for John or Charles.

To Lgilcrease, the KEY words in your review are "to those that know him." By extension, these are the ones that HE KNOWS, as they come in and spend tons of money at this joint. OF COURSE HE'S NICE TO THEM! No-one is disputing that! I think Gucci hit the nail on the head. Save your money and eat eslewhere people.
