Rate and Write a Review A landmark in elegance, the Old Warsaw is recognized for its fresh and flavorful preparations of steaks, grilled fish and lobster. Satin floral wallpaper beautifully accents framed Old World paintings, while soft music enhances the mood around glowing, candlelit tables set with white linen. But this atmosphere has a price. Carre d'Agneau Nimoise roast rack of lamb and Chateaubriand hover around $60, but you can go "low end" with a nice size juicy sirloin for $30. A private dining room seats over forty guests and is available with reservations -- it's a favorite for birthdays, anniversaries, holiday celebrations and business dinners. But there's a dress code, so get spiffy. -- Mary Barber

Overrated: Go Someplace Else
Having never eaten here before, i was very anxious to see how the place would compare to the actual reviews, from both past diners and the press. In a word: Overrated. We reserved the large room to host dinner for 30 and the room was not properly set up when we arrived. There were missing plates, menus, etc...Also, the flower arrangement was old and wilted. The wait staff was indifferent and inattentive. The dinner was generally good, but those who ordered the prime rib or steak were very dissappointed. No matter how they requested the steak, it came out too rare. Bottom line, I suggest you go someplace else for a large event. Same goes for using the affiliated Maple Manor nexy door.

Upscale cuisine, a posh interior, and flawless service have made The Old Warsaw a favorite Dallas old guard. We dinner the five course menu, starting with the most delicious Brie cheese soup, follow by the exceptional fresh Greek Salad. For appetizer we had crab cake and Salmon puff pastry, both delicious. For the main course I tried the Fillet with the crab meat and my husband had Rack of Lamb and he told me that was the best lamb he ever had and I didnÂt have time to tell him how good it was mine. We finish the night with the flaming cherries jubilee. An unforgettable night!!!

One hates to admit liking the same uptown restaurant one's parents did a generation ago, but is hard not to enjoy a meal at this elegant, dress up Continental-French, wich is still a grand dinning value for a well-heeled crowd looking to celebrate special occasions over classic haute cuisine (wonderful souffles), personalized service, from tuxedoed waiters, a piano player and strolling violinist, add to the charm, so when trendies call it "tired" and "out of touch", defenders blithely boast that "it will probably be open for another 100 years"
