Reviving a Dallas legend, the new Texas Tea House brings back the good ol' days for lovers of progressive country, Southern rock and Delta blues. Armed with an old-fashioned Texas party attitude and a modern PA and lighting system, the Deep Ellum nightclub offers live music by regional and national artists in a softly lit, spacious, comfortable venue decorated with neon beer signs, posters and not much else to get in the way of the music, camaraderie and fun. The full bar serves a variety of drinks, which you can sip inside or outside on the patio, which sports umbrella-shaded tables and a convenient independent drink station. Inside, patrons can shoot pool, listen to music being blasted by the state-of-the-art sound system or hang out in the quiet room, a separate area furnished with soft benches and small tables that encourages relaxing with drinks and holding conversations. Food service is offered by Nick's Place, serving burgers, fried appetizers and other fine club grub. For those who remember Will Barnes and the old Texas Tea House, this new venue is an automatic draw. For the younger set who just love country/blues music and a good time, this could be a legendary Dallas nightspot of the future.
