So maybe the name is a little over the top, we concede, but when you slice and dice the raw stuff like they do at Piranha Killer Sushi, you're entitled to a little poetic license. Located on the northwest corner of downtown's Sundance Square in Ft. Worth, masterfully crafted and presented sushi dishes have already seduced the Cowtown locals by the hundreds. They also come in to enjoy the modern, super-sleek environs created by co-owners and chefs Kenzo Tran and Tommy Le who started Piranha in Arlington and quickly opened a second location in Ft. Worth. Unique and unusual dishes like the Sexy Roll, which includes coconut shrimp tempura, ginger cream and cilantro, topped with avocado, crawfish and mango, or the popular Wasabi Crusted Salmon Roll with panko crusted tempura, salmon, cheese and scallions are what set Piranha apart. A splendid selection of traditional sakis and wines compliment the just about every item on the menu as well.

So disappointed
By SOLD4U on 07/06/2008
This place use to be my all time FAVORITE. Now everything is skimpy! I use to brag about the Wasabi Crusted Salmon Roll they were so famous for. I went to the new location in the Arlington Highlands (which was beautiful by the way) and I needed a magnifying glass to find the salmon in this roll. It was all rice. The sashimi pieces were small. Big price not big on delivery. Go around the corner to Sushi DOMO at Matlock and Mayfied. Have yourself an Oh MY GOD roll. You will be in heaven.

not the best in Fort Worth by far

We tried Piranha recently after planning to go for a long time. Unfortunately we were sadly disappointed with the selection of "sushi" rolls (nearly all were cooked, not sashimi style) and the noise was deafening. The people at the table next to us were actually shouting at each other just to be heard. If you want some great sushi with some wonderful ambiance and a superb martini selection (props to Vinnie) then go to Sushi Axiom on Hulen behind Central Market. You won't be disappointed!

If you want to experience Piranha the right way, there's only one way, go to the Arlington location. It's off the normal "High End" restaurant map, but it is in the epicenter.
