With dark, wooden tables and walls with exposed rivets like a cruiser's hull, the theme here can definitely get fishy; but it's still more sophisticated than the style at other Rockfish Grills. This restaurant stays ultra casual, with servers wearing golf shirts and jeans while they trod on concrete floors. You could roll in wearing just shorts and a tank top and still feel at home while you sip an icy brew. Since surrounding construction has slowed down, this restaurant has been reeling in the fans. Rockfish attracts a trendy college crowd from nearby Southern Methodist University, as well as working singles and families that live in not-too- far-off areas -- everyone and anyone who's after fresh, reasonably priced seafood favorites. Fried fish and waffle fries may be the choice of the guy at the table beside yours, but there are lighter menu items available, including boiled and spicy crawfish, grilled catch of the day and delicious shrimp-and-lobster-stuffed ravioli. Check the blackboards above the oyster bar for daily specials. -- Allison Hatfield

Another Chain
By Foxface5 on 06/20/2008
Sorry, but they're ok for another chain restaurant. You want great food, atmosphere, surroundings, service!!! Try Daddy Jack's in downtown Ft Worth at Sundance Square. 5-star perfect...period!

The Worst Restaurant Ever!!!
By EChism on 06/17/2008
Went to not one but two locations, same bad service, the host staff actually forgot about us!!! Once seated at the table we were forgotten again, they gave us a complimentary coupon, we opted for another location same thing happened!!! I would NEVER patronize that place ever again!!!

Rockfish-McKinney
By GMGANSLE on 06/17/2008
With fresh, made-from-scratch dishes, Rockfish can customize orders according to our likes or moods! The Chalkboard specials are always fantastic and priced a fraction of other comparatable dishes at Papadeauex"s or other "fancy" seafood restaurants. The employees are friendly and efficient and the management actually cares how we are doing by coming to the table and checking on us! Nice touch! If you want great seafood that won't break the bank, go to Rockfish!

Rockfish/Arlington
By CR46charli on 05/30/2008
We've eaten there several times and have enjoyed every dish we've tried. And no side effects afterwards. Going to the Rockfish on Cooper in Arlington is not only good eats but also fun. The Wait People are so courteous and they don't call all of us "Guys". We women are tired of being referred to as "Guys, hi guys, how's everyone doing tonight?" So it's refreshing at Rockfish to be recognized as a FEMALE! More restaurants should take heed. Women are paying customers, too!
