As you cruise south on Central Expressway on your way out for a night of cocktails, conversation and canoodling, you can almost see the rosy alpenglow of Sunset Lounge peeking over the (well, mountain-less) North Texas horizon. Located in the former Passport space just to the East of 75, Sunset is the newest thing on the Dallas nightlife scene. In-the-know pretties are going to take to this new hotspot like a moth to a flame with its sleek interior, more than 1,000-square feet of patio space and stiff drinks -- not to mention the hypnotic beats that will put you in a groove trance while you sidle up to Mr. or Ms. "Right." Keep your jeans and flip flops at home, kids, because this is all about bringing out your Sunday best. Guys, be prepared for some competition for the ladies' attention, so the better you look, the better your chances.

Just stay away....

I have to say that this bar is a complete let down. It has the chance to be one of the best places in town for its size but it is simply a failure. The reason, the owner. Simply one of the most abrasively rude, condescending, and asinine people I have ever met. The only customers he cares about are the pretty blondes. I would know because I get crap service while my pretty blonde wifey gets great treatment. Buyer Beware. You are asking for it by going here. No Parking, only valet, dangerous neighborhood, EXTREMELY high prices for drinnks. I think they charge that much so they can stay in business. I know they would like to have you think it is hip/chic/whatever, but I label it as a failure. Thanks for reading.
