The Scoop: Travis Salon Uptown is oh, so trendy, but not stuffy. Services at the salon, located one block from McKinney Avenue and the Hard Rock Caf, include cuts, coloring, nails, and waxing. Its a small, intimate salon inside an old house with a staff of three that caters to men and women. Prices range from $25 for a mens haircut to $200 or so for highlights and a haircut. The salon also sells the high-end Bumble and bumble line of beauty products, as well as its own creations, La Bougie candles in sensual, energetic, spiritual or calming scents. The Scene: Travis Salon Uptowns clientele is mostly business people from the trendy, uptown area. The atmosphere, with flowers in the window boxes, is more home-like than frou-frou.
