With a name like Woolie Ewe and a myriad of different colors and textures of yarns filling the shop from floor to ceiling, you'd expect this store to be content with being a knitting shop. But the folks at Woolie Ewe insist on being classified as a fiber-arts store. What that means, basically, is that the store offers a full spectrum of knitting, crochet and needlepoint supplies. There's a knowledgeable staff, including the mother/daughter team who own the store, on hand if you're new to the hobby. This is also one of the few knitting shops that won't sneer at machine-knitting. The machines are for sale here and classes are available to teach you how to use them, as are classes on all different levels of knitting and crocheting. The classes fill up fast, so get on the mailing list and call to sign up the day you get your calendar of events in the mail.
