SO AWESOME!
By torrezpita on 04/02/2007
The food was so awesome. Definitely worth the price. The staff is exceptional. Attention to every detail. The sushi is also really good. I can not complain about anything on this restaurant. It is pricey but definitely worth every penny.

The meaning of Five Star
By mec110699 on 01/08/2006
I have had the chance to eat at some of the best known resturants in the nation, such as the french laundry, and Spago's I must say for the price one pay's for the chef's tasting of a nine course meal of such quality food is just out of this world. Keep up the good work. From the time I got out of my car and walked up to the hostess stand and my short wait at the bar with my guest we were blown away by the attention we got even before we sat down for dinner. Hurray for Dallas for having this gem of a resturant.

I have been to Abacus on several occasions. The food is pricy but well worth the class and atmosphere. Great environment for romance. The menu has the utmost excellence and cant be duplicated.

abacus jumps the shark
By bvolpe2398 on 09/18/2005
abacus, once known as one Dallas' best, has "jumped the shark". On two recent occasions, their hostess' clearly told me that my business was not welcomed. The first instance was on an early evening with not a single soul in the restaurant , and the hostess tells me that since I dared to walk in with no reservation, they would begrudgingly feed me, but I had to agree to eat in 60 minutes and leave. Last night, in oder to try and let abacus redeem itself, i called for reservations, only to be put on hold for 5 minutes. Unfortunately they forgot who pays their salary. Goodbye abacus. Better choices-il Sole, il Mulino, & Jeroboam's.
