The Ultimate!
I have been all over the United States and Angelos is the best down home Italian Food! The caesar salad is the best, the rolls are sinful, and every item on the menu is wonderful. My favorite is the Seafood Manicotti. The sauce is to die for. Don't forget the original recipes for the pizza..dine in or take out..try the Ultimate Cheese Pizza with five different kinds of cheese, YUM! The two poor reviews on Angelos must like Olive Garden instead, because this is the most delcious italian food in Dallas!
Atmosphere and Food Excellent!
Whether you want the sunlight from the giant windows in the front or the cozy back dimly lit by candle, Angelo's is the best place in Lakewood for Italian food. The choices are staggering, a choice for everyone. Don't forget the garlic roles and their Caesar salad! Weekends can be busy so book a reservation, but the service and food are so great it is worth it!.
Management Poor
I booked a birthday party via phone. Was told to give 3 menu items for 30 people however ordering off the menu was ok at arrival. I verified it twice with the order taker. Once there I was told 3 items selected only. Once I complained I was told the Manager said I was told and he heard it. I guess I'm a liar . Waitress huffy about the whole deal. Beware Get It In Writing if you book a party. I've had the party there for 3 years. Oh spent $633.00. Not next year.
Another citiguide bum steer
The caesar salad has an off tasting dressing with heavy anchovy flavor that is just not very good. It did not taste fresh. We both ordered pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs. Pretty basic huh? Well I couldn't believe any self respecting Italian restaurant would serve a marinara sauce that is so pepper hot it burns your mouth for an hour after you finish the meal. Please listen up guys at Angelo's, Italian food is NOT hot. Nowhere in Italy do you get mouth burning hot pepper marinara. The shame of it is the pasta was well cooked and the meatballs were pretty darn good. But the whole thing was ruined by the pepper heat of the sauce.
The bread pudding was below average.
Service was inattentive.
