You'll find the comfortable, warm-wooded restaurant filled with a crowd as diverse as the menu there for a special occasion or a casual gathering. The nostalgic feel, including the sounds of Big Band 30's and 40's coupled with a current menu with generous portions gives the Denver Chophouse its approachable, yet upscale contemporary style. Handcrafted ales brewed onsite, small batch bourbons, and a fine array of single malt scotches all add to the Chophouse tradition.

`never a better dinner
By fred41534 on 02/12/2007
Have been to the Chop House several times while visiting our son in Lafayette, Colorado. While waiting for the (always late Amtrak) we had to have dinner and we decided the Chop House was the best place to spend time and enjoy ourselves. Never had a better dinner or better service anyplace or anywhere, EVER. We shall return soon.

Wait was LOOOOOONG
By carobinson32 on 12/11/2004
We thought it would be nice to eat at the Denver Chop House, beig Friday night we would go in and see how long the wait is. They told us 45 minutes. We WAITED and WAITED and it was coming up on an hour so we asked "how much longer" and they said we had a few more people ahead of us. We over-heard other people who had been waiting 2 HOURS!! They were also told 45 minutes. We really would have liked it if the staff of the restaurtant could have just been honest and told us we could be waiting a good 2+ hours. Then we could have mad the decision if we really wanted to wait that long. But instead we were told 45 minutes which we where willing to wait. I understand that it can't always be right on the minute, but they were STILL telling people who were coming in after us a good hour and a half later that there is only a 45 minute wait. We were really annoyed that they couldn't just tell us that we will be there over 2 hours. We were really getting hungry and by this time we did not want to give them our business. So we left after waiting almost 2 hours. We went to a local Village Inn we where seated immediately and had a great meal.

Try to find employees that are not star struck

Food is good as always, if you can pry a wait person away from celebrities or good looking people of the opposite sex.
