Admittedly, this is no-frills lodging. Budget Host is a chain, and while the name may connote similarity from state to state, each hotel is independently operated. As a result, the Denver location is a bit worn around the edges (although a renovation is in the works). The real bonus to this hotel is not the pool (it doesnt have one) or the fancy hotel dining (it doesnt have that either). Rather, the strong point of this Budget Host is its location -- perched on a hill with panoramic views of Downtown Denver, which is less than a mile away. That means easy access to lots of shopping, dining and entertainment. -- Drew Myron
