Martini Ranch & The Shaker Room   

Occupying the space that previously housed Soapy Smith's, this three-tiered LoDo hotspot heats up historic Larimer Square with triple personalities: the wood-accented main level bar and grill is conducive to conversation and ample sports bickering, thanks to numerous plasma screens. Upstairs, the sensually appointed Eagle Bar features loungey leather booths and ottomans, rotating DJs, more televisions, panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, and a gorgeous stained-glass ceiling. The lower level, dubbed The Shaker Room, jams with 20-something hipsters pulsating to eclectic live music. A beer roster and wine list exists, but the main libations are the 50 designer martinis, hand-blended by a gregarious wait staff that shake and stir with aplomb. Liquid refreshments range from the ubiquitous appletini to the French kiss, smooched with Chambord and pineapple juice. Food is secondary here, but the something-for-everyone menu touts burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers.
