Nallen's Irish Pub   

You don't need to be Irish to enjoy this LoDo favorite. John Nallen has created a little bit of the Emerald Isle right here in our fair city. Small and cozy, Nallen's is not just notable for it's Irish flair, but it's appeal to the Denver hipsters. This LoDo hangout is almost always abuzz, with a better-than-average LoDo crowd. So, what's the appeal? Nallen's doesn't serve any food, although you can pop next door to the Old Chicago for a pizza. And there are a hundred bars in LoDo -- many that are bigger and more spacious. And unless you go in the afternoon or early evening, it's not exactly a quiet, little getaway. It must be the staff, the Guinness and the generally festive atmosphere. Don't come in here and expect to get frou-frou drinks. Nallen's does have a full-service bar, but most patrons order up pints of Guinness, snootfulls of Irish Whiskey and selections from their impressive scotch menu. St. Patrick's Day only comes once year, but don't wait until then to enjoy Nallen's.
