Unfortunately located next one of Denver oldest and sleaziest nudie joints, Sancho's, a real thinking place (or so the sign out front you have you believe). The venue is basically your college bar, but all grown up and a little tripped out. The crowd is eighty-percent regulars and as mellow as they come. The walls are covered with Grateful Dead memorabilia, tie-dye tapestries and even a big Dead mosaic. The bar is big and oval with seating on both sides that makes for perfect across-the-bar flirting. Every night the drink special is two for two -- you get one domestic beer and one micro for two bucks (you can't beat that). Monday nights have live music with a decent jam band and a one-dollar cover; Sunday nights feature a different live band and no cover. Just about every night is busy -- not packed, just busy -- but luckily, there is not much spillover crowd from the Fillmore. The big round booth in the front comes highly recommended for people-watching or snuggling up with your favorite hippie chick, and has even been known to host some smooching.

Quite possibly one of the best bars i have ever entered. The music is always good, and the view of dreddy kids danicing around is always a great thing! Check it out, #1 in my book for good music and cheap beers!

I love Sancho's! I go with friends and to meet friends. There probably is not a friendlier place in Denver, and you don't even have to love the Dead....but it helps!
