Hand-pressed dough, thin, slightly scorched crusts, garden-fresh, housemade sauce, creamy ricotta and flavorful mozzarella, and a litany of fresh ingredients this is authentic Italian pizza served in brightly colored, artsy surrounds. Its a place where couples share bites of chocolate chip-studded cannolis, families devour seam-busting strombolis, and solo diners sidle up to the counter for plate spanning single slices of cheesy goodness. Virgilios parades 17 specialty pizzas that range from the House Favorite white pizza topped with ricotta, garlic, sausage, sundried tomatoes and spinach; to the Dean Martin with bacon, garlic and fresh basil. Beyond pizza are olive oil-slicked pinwheels stuffed with spinach, ricotta, garlic and mozzarella, doughy garlic knots, gobble-worthy calzones, spaghetti and meatballs and oven-hot heros. The clamorous happy hour, which runs from 3pm-6pm daily, flaunts great deals on wines and beer.

Real Delicious NY & CT Style Pizza!!!! Best Pizza this Side of NY!!
By ModelgurlD18 on 07/25/2008
I am originally from NY and then lived in CT and I have tasted some of the best pizza's ever made. So I know what I am talking about when it comes to good pizza. When I left New York to come to Denver the whole way out I tasted really bad pizza. I dont even think I would call it pizza thats how bad it was. When I got here I was ready to cry. I am from NY and I need real pizza to survive! For months I tried what people told me were authentic "NY" style pizza. They were full of crap. I have never tasted such bad, what they call pizza in my life. You might as well give me cardboard, sauce and cheese. When I first went to Virgilios I was skeptical. After trying the pizza I could have stood up and sang Hallelujah!! Not only is Virgilio from CT but, he sure knows how to make good pizza. I now go there about once a week to get pizza and my new favorite garlic knots. He has truly made Denver Colorado livable. I thought for a while I would have to move back home before I starved to death. So thank you Virgilio, and I do reccomend Virgilio's to any one that wants a true NY & CT style pizza.

When you're ready!
By Blade Anjel on 07/02/2008
When you're ready for real, genuine, New York, Italiano pizza...Go to Virgilio's! The owner "Virgilio" has been in there every time we have gone. Super nice, warm, Italian guy. The staff was there to serve and please. The pizza was seriously out of this world. It was fresh, hot out of the oven, melty gooey cheese, steamy fresh tomato sauce, crust baked to the "must fold in half to eat" consistancy! Don't waste your time going anywhere else if you're ready for the ultimate pizza experience of your life! I am a New York Italian and am VERY picky about my pizza! I Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu!
