In ShortPoliticians, Capitol Hill locals and downtown office workers make up the bulk of the lunch and dinner crowds. The Wolfeman earns his smoking crown with meaty spears that are dense with hickory smoked flavor and moist meat that slides off the bone. Sauce is optional with bones this good, so rib paints are on the side. The smoked tofu is an option for vegetarians.

Wolfe's is a one-man show, well done with no frills. We only eat the smoked tofu and vegetarian entrees but it's really good. I wouldn't go there on a first date (no atmosphere), but it's great if you just want some good, home-style BBQ.
