Blake Street Tavern hits a homerun for delicious food and great drink. The wood decor and black padded booths provide a warm atmosphere, taking you back in time with pictures of old ballparks on the walls. Order a smooth Flying Dog Old Scratch Amber Lager or In Heat Wheat brew -- it doesn't get much fresher since the brewery is right next door. The menu is simple but with a satisfying selection: Start out with an order of chicken wings, nachos or chips and salsa. For the main course, choose from an assortment of items such as a turkey burger, buffalo burger, fish and chips or barbecued pork. Most items are served with fries and there are several soups and salads ready to compliment any meal. Don't forget to save room for the chocolate brownie a la mode dessert. -- Laura Finney
